Barack Obama is MY PRESIDENT!

WOW! I am so proud to be an American. I honest to blog didn't think that in my lifetime I'd see a black president. I am so happy that we have come so far, even though clearly, we have so far to go. I've never been so excited for an election. This is definitely one for the history books. I literally have tears of joy. So to everyone, thank you. Everyone's vote counts. We did it. My faith is officially restored.

Get over it. People are so stupid to vote for a president solely on the color of skin. Obama consorts with terrorists, wants to raise taxes, reverse the first amendment and is for late-term and partial birth abortion. Not the kind of president I want- I don't care what color his skin is. Bush got a bad wrap, although he is an incredibly gifted leader. Time will tell, but we will be lucky if we make it through the next four years without a major attack since Obama wants to reduce the military and befriend our enemies.

Um, Rachel there's no nice way to say this ... you're an idiot!

I don't think this blog said anything about voting for him soley based on skin color.

I found this on Rachel's blog...it all makes sense to me now:

37. I am a HUGE fan of President George W. Bush, I worked very hard on his campaign in college, and I am a big advocate of compassionate conservatism. I think President Bush is one of the greatest leaders this country has ever had, and I truly believe he is an incredibly Godly man with a passion and a heart for the people in this country. I support his attack on Terrorism 100% and if anything, I think we should be more vigilant as a nation in the Iraqi War. We are rid of one of the most evil people in the history of civilization because of our leader: Sadaam Hussein is gone, for pete's sake! People need to stop attacking the President, and start looking at more productive ways to further this nation- like putting prayer back in schools. Sheesh- all right enough of my soap box...

38. I am a staunch Republican- I believe in the American Dream and working for what you have... not it being handed to you- my children will work hard, and know that the government is here to help, not offer handouts. I could go on for days on my political stance, but I will spare you!

Yes, Rachel, please spare us.

OMFG! I laughed out loud reading that excerpt ... I especially love that she thinks Bush was the greatest leader we ever had! Um, where have you been the last 8 years lady?

I love when people talk about the "American Dream" and how they worked hard and their kids are going to work hard and blah, blah, blah. That's easy to say when you've already had a good start in life. Chances are good, that Rachel grew up in a good home, with two good parents, probably at least an upper middle class lifestyle. Pretty easy to say you've achieved the American Dream when you start from this point. I work with kids everyday who are born to abusers, drugs addicts, homeless, etc ... Then they live the majority of their childhood trying to overcome all of that crap. It's an uphill battle. It's easy, Rachel, when you start where you started, it's not easy when you weren't blessed with that from the beginning.

I'd be really interested to know what Rachel's biggest struggle has been life or what challenges she has ever had to overcome ... It was probably that 10 page term paper due her sophomore year of college or just trying to make it through that horrible class with the liberal professor ....
